THE METAL WIRE: UNCIVIL WAR [Recording Studio Video Clip 03/01/2017]

Written by Marc. Pietrek 2017

[10:00PM EST] (Guitarist/vocalist) Scott Owen (SUBVERSION A.D., ex-ELIMINATE, ex- HIRAX, ex- PIRANHA)  just posted a short in-the-recording-studio video clip on the UNCIVIL WAR Facebook band page: https://www.facebook.com/uncivilwarofficial/videos/1433263330038948/

The band are currently recording material for their debut demo that is set to release in the very near future.  I was able to reach Scott shortly after the posting and he was nice enough to offer these comments regarding the current status of the recording process:

“We just finished all the scratch guitar tracks. The drums get recorded this weekend in New York and then next week the real fun begins”.

UNCIVIL WAR is rounded out by Joe Cangelosi (BROOKLYN MILLITIA, ex- ELIMINATE, ex- WHIPLASH, ex- KREATOR, ex- DEATHCORPS) on drums and Rich Day (BROOKLYN MILLITIA, ex- PRIMAL SCREAM, ex- WHIPLASH, ex- DEATHCORPS) on bass. They are a recently formed trio of grizzled thrash metal leathernecks who are pulling some long hours these nights and (some) days to make sure the demo comes to fruition. Though the band members are living/working in both Texas and New York, they still have set self-imposed deadlines on getting original material recorded and released independently. Will update throughout the recording and releasing processes. Cheers, ya rivet-heads!!

I grew up in northern California during the 1980s and have been an AVID heavy metal fan since 1982. Having experienced the Bay Area thrash metal scene first hand, thrash metal will always be at my core, However, I am also a huge fan of death metal, doom metal, traditional heavy metal, stoner rock/metal and old-school black metal. If it concerns any of those sub-genres, (to borrow a quote from Christopher Walken in 'THE KING OF NEW YORK') "I want in on it!!". Cheers, ya rivet-heads!!
