Ok, ya rivet-heads!! We at VITRIOL, INC – A DARK UNITED FRONT ( have an EXCLUSIVE for all of you old-school death metal fans. On July 25, 2016, I video recorded (almost all of) the performance of death metal legends, CARCASS, at CLUB RED, in Mesa, Arizona USA. This performance was on their ‘ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE 2016’ Tour of North America, with supporting acts CROW BAR, GHOUL and NIGHT DEMON. Both the audio and video of the recording (39 minutes, 48 seconds in total length) are pretty decent quality, all things considered. A YouTube video and link to video will follow shortly. A link for the video posted myself to the A DARK UNITED FRONT Facebook music fan page is listed directly below :

Have you ever anticipated seeing one of your favorite bands or artists live in hopes that that they sound as good as they do on their studio recordings? And then you actually see them perform live and they are even better than you had hoped for in the first place? That is what I personally took away from this show. Their set included selections spanning from their 1988 debut album, (the grindcore classic) ‘Reek of Putrefaction’ (EARACHE) all the way through to their 2013 return album, (the melodic death metal KO) ‘Surgical Steel’ (NUCLEAR BLAST). To say CARCASS was on point this night is major understatement! The only low-point of their performance had nothing to do with the band and everything to do with me not being as prepared as I should have been. You see, I failed big-time by not having memory readily available on my iPhone. Live and learn as they say. Make it a point to  stop by their NUCLEAR BLAST band page. Link listed directly below. Cheers, ya rivet-heads!!

I grew up in northern California during the 1980s and have been an AVID heavy metal fan since 1982. Having experienced the Bay Area thrash metal scene first hand, thrash metal will always be at my core, However, I am also a huge fan of death metal, doom metal, traditional heavy metal, stoner rock/metal and old-school black metal. If it concerns any of those sub-genres, (to borrow a quote from Christopher Walken in 'THE KING OF NEW YORK') "I want in on it!!". Cheers, ya rivet-heads!!
